Road cycling in Bali is still young but growing fast, anchored on the Denpasar–Canggu–Sanur side of the island where expats and locals mix. The terrain is the draw: the south coast is flat and warm year-round, while a short ride inland delivers long, hot volcano climbs up to Bedugul, Jatiluwih and the Mount Batur crater rim. Traffic through Canggu and Seminyak at rush hour is heavy, so most serious riders roll out early toward the quieter rice-terrace back roads of Tabanan and Badung. The scene is organized more around Strava clubs, Instagram crews and tour operators than formal federations.
Roda Jaya Colnago is the established Denpasar road club, running social rides and weekend 'Round Bali' trips out of its North Denpasar shop. For an easy, traffic-free spin to find your legs, the paved Sanur Beach Promenade path is car-free and flat. Canggu-based riders also gather informally through Instagram crews like Canggu Cycling Club and Bali Fellas CC.
