The Boulder cycling scene

Boulder packs more cycling per capita than any other US city. Climbs (Flagstaff, Old Stage, Sunshine) are within minutes of downtown. Pro cyclists base here in summer; group rides operate at a serious pace. Cyclocross is real, MTB on the foothills is real, gravel north toward Estes is real.

Start here

Boulder Cycling Club runs paced road, gravel, and MTB rides all week; the slow Tuesday group and the Sunday cafe ride are the easiest entry points. Wednesday Morning Velo is the big Wednesday social ride, 200+ riders with coffee after.
