The Columbus cycling scene

Columbus has a real cycling scene that doesn't always show up online. The big clubs run weekend group rides out of coffee shops in the Short North and Clintonville. Outside city limits there's gravel out toward Hocking Hills and a fast road scene that meets pre-dawn in summer. Winter knocks 3 months out of road season but cyclocross and indoor scenes pick up the slack.

If you want to ride with a group this Saturday, scroll to Cafehero. They have a Z2-paced no-drop ride from Fox in the Snow Coffee, they post their weekly schedule on Strava, and people there will actually say hi to you.
