The Tucson cycling scene

Tucson is where North American pros come to escape winter. Mt Lemmon is one of the longest paved climbs in the US (~25 miles, 6,000 ft). Saguaro National Park loops, the Loop bike path (130+ miles of paved trail), and gravel access into Coronado National Forest. Summer is brutal; everyone rides at 5 AM or in the high country.

The Shootout (Saturday morning, Tucson) is the legendary pro-attended group ride. El Tour de Tucson is the marquee fall event.
